Europe.
As most of us know, Château Anand is
a beautiful 15 hectares wide domain in the center of France, near
Poitiers, on the border of a small river called « l'Anglin
».
Its castle, parks, forest, riverside, pavilions and additional
buildings seemed to be the right place for organizing the yearly
European Yoga Festival. Therefore the 3HO Europe Foundation, as the
organizer of the Yoga Festival, purchased the place in 2010.
Eventually, Château Anand would become the "Home of the
European Kundalini Yoga Sangat".
After a time of landscaping and renovation of
the buildings and the infrastructures, Château Anand was
officially opened in May 2015. It has now a capacity of over 100 beds
in individual rooms and dormitories and can host up to 350 campers more
in a beautiful environment situated in a protected Natura 2000 site.
This makes it an exceptional place to receive groups, festivals or
other events. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen complications, it
appeared that the site and the surrounding neighbors' fields would not
be sufficient to host the European Festival, gathering over 2500 yogis
and yoginis each year.
In 2014, a French non-profit organization
called "association 3HO Château Anand" was created to run the
place. This association has hosted different events and Festivals, such
as the "Printemps du Yoga" (the French Kundalini Yoga Festival in May),
the level 3 Teachers Training Mela in July, several level 1 and level 2
Teacher Trainings, Womens Camp, the Japji Course, Yoga Doula trainings
and other groups.
The 3HO Château Anand association also provided a structure
for sevadars, volunteers and guests to stay at Château Anand
and participate in the 3HO live-style of the on-site community living
through sadhana, seva and simran.
By hosting events with high quality services, delicious food and great
facilities, and through its community, Château Anand has
provided a great opportunity to a wide number of people practicing the
rich teachings of Yogi Bhajan to deepen their knowledge and practice.
This way of operating would not have been possible without the support,
help, enthusiasm and selfless service of many members of our Sangat, to
whom we want to express our gratitude. It also requested a yearly
consistent financial support from the 3HO Europe Foundation.
A change in the worldwide yearly available
funding through the 3HO organization forced the European Foundation to
review its financial support to Château Anand. Last November,
the board of the Foundation decided to restructure the project. The
financial support of the onsite community will stop and the 3HO
Château Anand association will end its activities.
This means that from January 2018 on, the site
(entirely or part of it) is still available for groups that want to run
events at Château Anand - The difference will be that these
groups need to be self-catering and take care of their own food,
serving, dishwashing and cleaning.
As an alternative, Château Anand offers an opportunity for
some people to create their own hosting business. They would provide
the hosting services already booked groups asked for, create new events
and attract new clients.
We hope and pray that this change will maintain
the same high standard and spirit at Château Anand, inspire
and motivate people to join and enjoy the Happy, Healthy ad Holy
life-style Yogi Bhajan taught us.

événements. Malheureusement, en raison de complications
imprévues, il semble que le site et les champs des voisins ne
suffiront pas pour accueillir le festival européen, rassemblant
plus de 2500 yogis et yoginis chaque année.
En 2014, une association française à but non lucratif
appelée «association 3HO Château Anand» a
été créée pour diriger le lieu.Cette
association a accueilli différents événements et festivals, tels que le
Printemps du Yoga en mai, le niveau 3 des enseignants de Mela en
juillet, plusieurs formations de niveau 1 et 2, Womens Camp, le Japji Cours, formations Yoga Doula et autres groupes.
L'association 3HO Château Anand a également mis à la disposition des
sevadars, des bénévoles et des invités une structure pour séjourner au
Château Anand et participer au 3HO live-style de la vie communautaire
sur place à travers sadhana, seva et simran.
En accueillant des événements avec des services de haute
qualité, une cuisine délicieuse et d'excellentes
installations, et à travers sa communauté, Château
Anand a fourni une grande opportunité à un grand nombre
de personnes pratiquant les riches enseignements de Yogi Bhajan pour
approfondir leurs connaissances et pratiques. Cette façon de
fonctionner n'aurait pas été possible sans le soutien,
l'aide, l'enthousiasme et le service désintéressé
de nombreux membres de notre Sangat, à qui nous voulons exprimer
notre gratitude. Il a également demandé un soutien
financier annuel constant de la Fondation 3HO Europe.
Une modification du financement annuel disponible dans le monde entier
à travers l'organisation 3HO a contraint la Fondation
européenne à revoir son soutien financier à
Château Anand. En novembre dernier, le conseil d'administration
de la Fondation a décidé de restructurer le projet. Le
soutien financier de la communauté sur place cessera et
l'association 3HO Château Anand mettra fin à ses
activités.
Cela
signifie qu'à partir de janvier 2018, le site (en totalité ou en
partie) est encore disponible pour les groupes qui souhaitent animer des
événements au Château Anand - La différence sera que ces groupes
doivent être indépendants et prendre soin de leurs propres nourriture, service, vaisselle et nettoyage.
En alternative, Château Anand offre la possibilité
à certaines personnes de créer leur propre entreprise
d'hébergement.Ils fourniraient les services d'hébergement déjà réservés aux groupes
demandés, créer de nouveaux événements et attirer de nouveaux clients.
Nous espérons et prions pour que ce changement maintienne le même
niveau élevé et l'esprit au Château Anand, inspire et motive les gens à
se joindre à et à profiter de l'annonce heureuse et saine que nous a
enseignée Yogi Bhajan.
